The week began on a high note as residents, staff, and guests gathered to celebrate the opening ceremonies of the All Seniors Care Seniors Olympics<\/strong>, with memorable events held at both Beacon Heights Retirement Home<\/strong> and Cit\u00e9 Parkway Retirement Residence<\/strong>. From meaningful moments of history to music, laughter, and inspiration, each ceremony captured the true spirit of community and friendly competition.<\/p>\n

Beacon Heights: A Buzzing Start Filled with History and Heart<\/h3>\n

Beacon Heights Retirement Home was buzzing from the moment the opening ceremony got underway. The room was filled with excitement as residents and staff came together, clearly ready to embrace the week ahead with energy and enthusiasm.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s Wizard of Oz: \u201cThere\u2019s No Place Like Home\u201d<\/strong> theme was a big hit, beautifully embraced throughout the room. From d\u00e9cor to spirit, the theme added a sense of fun and unity, reinforcing the feeling that these Games are about much more than competition\u2014they\u2019re about belonging. A huge thank you goes out to the Beacon Heights team for creating an opening that felt both meaningful and joyful.<\/p>\n

Cit\u00e9 Parkway: Music, Inspiration, and a Powerful Kick-Off<\/h3>\n

Special recognition goes to Hubert and Jean-Claude<\/strong>, whose enthusiasm and involvement helped set the tone and bring the morning to life. The ceremony featured stirring bagpipes, a heartfelt rendition of O Canada<\/strong>, and an atmosphere full of anticipation and pride.<\/p>\n

Adding an inspiring touch to the event was the presence of Katie Weatherston<\/strong>, gold medalist with Canada\u2019s women\u2019s hockey team. Her participation was a meaningful reminder of the power of sport, perseverance, and teamwork at every stage of life.<\/p>\n
