What we have done as a community

Every day I consider it an honour to represent you at City Hall. I always love speaking with you at the doors, and hearing what you want within our communities firsthand.

My focus is on bringing your voice to City Hall, getting results for our community and city. Our accomplishments over the years include;

2010-2014

  • Richcraft Sensplex
  • Major road resurfacing (Stonehenge, LaVerendrye, Ogilvie to name a few)
  • Blair road crosswalk light
  • Had Blair and Cyrville road added to future TMP
  • Opened first ever Ward office at Armstrong arena
  • Established communications plan that sees regular emails, mailings (3-4 times a year) and social media.

2014-2018

  • Safer walking and biking delivering Shefford road Multi Use path
  • Cyrville road Multi Use path
  • Ogilvie road Multi Use path with benches
  • Blair road Speed reduction to 50kms at Pineview and bollards  
  • Major renovations of Pat Clark community centre (Cyrville community centre) that is a big win for Seniors and the community
  • Being a volunteer, I know the effort required to have police checks and why I championed them moving volunteer police checks online! 
  • New project management practices that will save money and eliminate duplication. 
  • Established Vision Jasmine that sees more community connectivity. This includes events, more programming in the community and infrastructure including rink boards and nets in the park.
  • Major road resurfacing (Eastvale, Beaverbrook, Casey to name a few)
  • Community splash pad at Loyola pad to serve 600 condos in the community
  • 2016 helped revive the beacon hill after school program 
  • Working with the Dog Owner EXTREMELY happy to have opened one of only 3 fenced in dog parks in the city with parking. Our 4-legged friends love this place
  • Opened an intermediate soccer field.
  • Ken Steele park football bunker (coming 2021) – this is great news for the North Gloucester giants. 
  • Advocating for Police Background checks to be moved online now allows volunteers & professionals to be vetted efficiently with less time wasted.
  • Pineview Community Hub give our neighbourhoods local facilities for programming and services.

2018- 2022

  • Quarry park play structure
  • New Elmridge splash pad 
  • St. John Paul II Pedestrian Crossover
  • Quincy & Briarcliffe  road resurfaced
  • Blair Road widening (sidewalk dedicated cycling and bus lanes, full stop lights at Beaverpond and Blair, public consult underway)
  • Widening Jasmine; fixing street parking situation in 2023 (transportation)
  • New Multiuse pathway connectivity between stations coming in 2022 (near LRT stations, Cyrville, Blair and Montreal Road) (transportation)
  • Working with community to see Beacon Hill Community Garden Network – Jaide Bern, ELizabeth Joly, Jane Hubbard
  • Solar Charging stations (devices…not cars) at Meadowbrook and Eastvale Park
  • Dog park lights!
  • Beacon Hill community centre renovations and expansion (Doors open November 2022)
  • Ken Steel Football Bunker
  • Scoreboard supporting GIANTS football *NEW *
  • Whiterock Park Lifecycle
  • Cyrville Park Splash Pirate pad 
  • Davidson Drive resurfacing ( 2022 )
  • Ogilvie Road resurfacing – Montreal rd to the river ( 2022)
  • Shefford rd resurfacing Montreal rd to the river (2023)
  • Shefford Park – dog park lights
  • Shefford Park – dog park bench installed (2024)
  • PXO on Matheson connecting Huntington pathway to Whiterock Park
  • Speed reduction on Naskapi (Permanent traffic calming study underway)
  • 10 years of Celebrate Summer

2022- 2026

  • Pineview Pathway Resurfacing and Lighting from Stonehenge to Blair Station (2025)
  • Added 4 daytime runs to route 26
  • Gailea Momolu Skateboard Park
    • Sign and illustration
  • Council approved an amendment I brought forward directing the City to actively seek locations for park-and-ride facilities inside the Greenbelt, with work now underway on a potential paid park-and-ride near Blair Station
  • Dog park water fountain coming soon – spring 2026
  • Leigh and Bathgate crossover (spring 2026)

  • Bathgate: Bathgate Dr from Ogilvie Rd (OR 50) to Plumber Av is included in the draft 2026 Budget ($1.2M), subject to Council approval. Resurfacing is planned for 2026.
  • Jasmine: Jasmine Cres from Ogilvie Rd (OR 50) (S) to Ogilvie Rd (OR 50) (N) is included in the draft 2026 Budget ($1.1M), subject to Council approval. Resurfacing is

  • Ogilvie: Ogilvie from Aviation Parkway to City Park is included in the draft 2026 Budget ($2.5M), subject to Council approval. Resurfacing is planned for 2026.
