You’ve already met Tim, your City Councillor for Ward 11, Beacon Hill-Cyrville, and heard about his dedication to serving this incredible community. Now, meet the fantastic team he works alongside every day. Each member of this team is proud to call Beacon Hill-Cyrville home and shares a deep passion for making the ward the best it can be. While Tim leads the charge at City Hall, he and his team work together to ensure the voices of residents are heard and that the community continues to move forward.

The team is here to listen, support, and collaborate with you because they all believe in the potential of Beacon Hill-Cyrville and are committed to seeing it thrive. Together, they are working to build a community that’s stronger, more connected, and an even better place to live for everyone.

 

Julie Valliant-Saunders – Executive Assistant (Acting)

 

Julie has stepped into Brook-Lynn’s former role, taking on both office management and resident casework responsibilities within Councillor Tim Tierney’s office.

With a background in education and child and youth counselling, Julie brings compassion, organization, and strong problem-solving skills to her work. In her expanded position, she ensures the seamless day-to-day operation of the office while continuing to provide dedicated support to residents.

As the first point of contact for many community members, Julie approaches every interaction with empathy and professionalism, ensuring residents feel heard, supported, and valued. Whether coordinating office logistics, managing correspondence, organizing community events, or helping individuals navigate local resources, she consistently goes above and beyond to assist those in need.

Her combination of organizational expertise and genuine care makes Julie an indispensable member of the team. She is passionate about serving the Beacon Hill-Cyrville community and takes pride in helping residents access the guidance and support they deserve.

 

Andréa Shane – Communications Lead

Andréa joined Councillor Tim’s office in 2024 and leads communications for the Beacon Hill-Cyrville community. She develops clear, engaging content that keeps residents informed about local projects, community initiatives, and city-wide updates.

A lifelong resident of Beacon Hill-Cyrville, Andréa brings both local insight and professional experience to her role. With a background in Human Resources and a natural strength for organization and communication, she ensures that information from the office is timely, accurate, and easy to understand.

Andréa takes pride in helping residents stay connected to the work being done in their community and in highlighting the people and progress that make Beacon Hill-Cyrville such a vibrant place to live.

 

Dani – Elle Dubé – Policy and Media Advisor

Dani-Elle is the latest addition to Tim’s team and joins as a Policy and Media Advisor. In the role, Dani assists Tim with research, media messaging and coordination, communication and Public Relations for both his duties at the City of Ottawa as well as the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM). She also aids other team members with various tasks related to other forms of communications like social media.
Before joining, Dani-Elle was an award-winning journalist, photojournalist, editor and producer in some of Canada and Ottawa’s biggest newsrooms, the latest being the producer for Ottawa Now with Kristy Cameron on Newstalk 580 CFRA at Bell Media. She’s also worked at Postmedia, Global News’ National Online Team, Yahoo! Canada and CityNews Ottawa. You can find some of her freelance pieces in publications like Chatelaine, FLARE and Scientific American, among many others.
With 20 years of working in newsrooms and as a freelance journalist under her belt, Dani is well-versed not only in Canada’s media landscape and what media professionals want and need, but international media as well. She understands the importance of timely delivery, accuracy, transparency and quality. Her strongest skills include communication, managing, coordinating and bringing valuable perspective that helps her team, constituents and media professionals see issues from multiple angles.

A proud former resident of Beacon Hill-Cyrville, Dani-Elle grew up in the area and is eager to give back to the community she knows well.

Brook-lynn Quinlan – Executive Assistant (On Leave)

Brook-Lynn has been an essential part of Tim’s team since 2021, ensuring the smooth operation of the office and providing crucial support to the Councillor in his work. As the Executive Assistant, Brook-Lynn manages the Councillor’s demanding schedule, coordinates meetings, and ensures every task is completed efficiently. She is often the first point of contact for residents, offering exceptional support and ensuring their concerns are addressed promptly.

With a strong background in organization and communication, Brook-Lynn excels at managing multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism. Whether it’s organizing community events, handling correspondence, or assisting with day-to-day office operations, she is always ready to help and keep the office running smoothly.

A proud resident of Beacon Hill-Cyrville, Brook-Lynn is passionate about contributing to the community and ensuring that residents receive the attention and service they deserve. Her dedication to excellent service is evident in every aspect of her work, and she is proud to be part of the team that strives to make the ward a better place.
