Family Skate Day 2025: A Heartwarming Success!

Family Skate Day 2025 was a heartwarming success, bringing the Beacon Hill-Cyrville community together for a day filled with laughter, fun, and, of course, delicious donuts!

What an incredible day! Family Skate Day 2025 was nothing short of spectacular, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the turnout. The rink was alive with laughter, excitement, and a true sense of community as families gathered to celebrate Family Day in the best way possible—on the ice! A Day Full of Fun, Laughter, and Donuts!

From the moment the doors opened at Richcraft Sensplex, the energy was palpable. Families—parents, kids, grandparents, and friends—came together to enjoy a fun-filled day on the ice. Whether you were gliding with ease or perfecting your unique stopping technique (hey, falling is just a creative way to slow down!), everyone had a blast.

Hot chocolate, coffee, and mouthwatering treats filled the air, creating a cozy and festive vibe. And speaking of treats—let’s talk about those donuts! If there were a gold medal for donut consumption, we’d have a few champions in the crowd. (Okay, fine, I’m one of those champions!)

A True Community Celebration

The best part of the day? The people. It was heartwarming to see so many familiar faces from our wonderful community. Whether you were out on the ice or cheering from the sidelines, the atmosphere was filled with warmth, positivity, and that Beacon Hill-Cyrville spirit.

We were also excited to have our good friend, MPP Lucille Collard, join us for the celebration! It’s always a pleasure to catch up, especially when it’s over some Family Day fun.

Patriotic? Absolutely. Stylish? You Decide.

If you saw someone skating around in boots, proudly wrapped in a Canadian flag like a scarf, that was me. When the Canadian spirit kicks in, you embrace it in full force. Some people wear scarves; I rock a full-on flag moment. It’s called style, folks, and I’m sticking with it.

Family Skate Day is about more than just skating—it’s about bringing people together. This event serves as a beautiful reminder of how connected, supportive, and fun-loving our community is. A huge thank you to everyone who came out and made this event unforgettable. Seeing all those smiling faces on the ice made it a day we’ll cherish forever.

Looking Forward to 2026!

We can’t wait to do it all again next year! If you missed out this time, don’t worry—we’ll be back in 2026, bigger and better than ever (and yes, there will be even more donuts).
