Falafel On Wheels: Big Flavour from a Little Truck

Falafel on Wheels serves up Ottawa’s most beloved falafel from a humble truck on Montréal Road, where fresh ingredients, bold flavours, and Eddy’s warm hospitality keep customers coming back.
July 16, 2025 by Andrea Shane

At 1758 Montréal Road, in a quiet parking lot, you’ll find a humble-looking food truck with a line that speaks for itself. Falafel on Wheels has become a local favourite with a perfect 5.0-star rating, and one bite will show you why.

Owned and operated by Eddy, Falafel on Wheels was the first food truck in Ottawa to serve fresh, homemade falafel made entirely from scratch. Eddy is incredibly passionate about what he does, and it shows in every bite. What started as a simple idea has grown into one of the city’s most talked-about lunch spots.

The menu focuses on fresh, flavourful ingredients. The traditional falafel sandwich leads the charge, with soft pita filled with crispy falafel balls, tomato, parsley, radish, pickles, and creamy tahini sauce. It’s really good. Customers keep coming back not just for the food, but for the warm, welcoming experience Eddy creates each day.

They also offer catering and private event services, although they usually try to keep that to after hours when the truck isn’t busy serving the lunch crowd.

You can find Falafel on Wheels at 1758 Montréal Road, open Monday to Saturday from 11:30 to 6:30, and until 4:30 on Saturdays. Closed Sundays. Stop by and see what the buzz is about. You won’t regret it.
