Pine View Golf Course: A Local Favourite, Year After Year

Pine View Golf Course blends tradition with thoughtful innovation, offering a welcoming, year-round golf and event experience in the heart of Ottawa’s east end.
July 17, 2025 by Andrea Shane

Pine View Golf Course has long held a special place in the east end of Ottawa. Over the past 12 years under private ownership, the course has seen steady and thoughtful improvements while continuing to serve the community it’s always been part of.

Mike Copeland and his business partners took over from the municipality with a clear vision: to invest in the course and create a welcoming, accessible space for golfers of all skill levels. Since then, the improvements have touched nearly every part of the experience — from better-maintained fairways and reworked bunkers to refreshed greens and rebuilt bridges that enhance both play and accessibility.

One of the biggest milestones was the addition of a full driving range, which has made the course more dynamic and attractive to new and returning golfers alike. And when winter rolls around, the game doesn’t stop. Indoor golf simulators keep things active year-round, offering a space to stay sharp and enjoy the sport no matter the season.

The facilities go well beyond the course itself. Pine View also offers multiple event spaces that host everything from weddings and receptions to business meetings and community gatherings. The largest room can accommodate over 200 seated guests, with flexible layouts for larger receptions.

And after a day on the green, the Pine View Pub offers a warm, casual place to unwind. Known for its great value and comfort food, favourites include a fried chicken sandwich and a new lineup of paninis, toasted to perfection on a hot press.

Looking ahead, there’s interest in upgrading the existing clubhouse — modernizing the space to better support the events, services, and day-to-day needs of golfers and guests alike.

Pine View isn’t trying to reinvent itself. It’s staying true to its roots while continuing to evolve alongside the game and the community it proudly serves.

Go visit them at 1471 Blair Road and see it for yourself. You can book a tee time by calling 613-746-4653 or check them out online at Pine View Golf Course
