APS Aerospace Opens New Ottawa Home in Beacon Hill-Cyrville
I was pleased to join Mayor Mark Sutcliffe for the official opening of APS Aerospace at its new location in Blair Towers, right here in Beacon Hill-Cyrville.
This was an important milestone for a company that is doing highly specialized, globally significant work from Ottawa’s east end. APS Aerospace provides aviation safety solutions to airlines, military organizations, government agencies and original equipment manufacturers around the world. Their work brings together software, services and hardware to support safer, more efficient aviation operations.
With more than 250 clients globally, APS Aerospace plays a major role in the aviation sector. In Canada, the company supports a significant share of the airline market, including major carriers such as Air Canada, WestJet and Porter Airlines. Their expertise also extends to flight data analysis, accident prevention, operational efficiency and safety technologies that help strengthen aviation systems across Canada and internationally.
What stood out to me during the visit was the depth of expertise behind the company. This is not just an office opening. It is a reminder that Ottawa is home to companies doing serious work in advanced technology, safety, transportation and aerospace. These are the kinds of organizations that help build a stronger local economy while contributing to industries that matter far beyond our city.
APS Aerospace also has a unique history, bringing together the expertise of AIRINC and Plane Sciences. That foundation has helped shape a company with a strong understanding of aviation data, investigation, prevention and operational improvement.
Their move to Blair Towers is a welcome investment in our community and another example of the growing strength of Beacon Hill-Cyrville as a place for innovation, employment and economic development.
Congratulations to the entire APS Aerospace team on this exciting new chapter. I am proud to welcome them to the ward and look forward to seeing their continued success here in Ottawa.
