Kiki Lebanese Pineview Pizza: More Than a Slice of Local History

A beloved cornerstone of the community, Kiki Lebanese Pineview Pizza blends tradition, tenacity, and multicultural flavour into every dish, reflecting over three decades of family dedication and resilience.
July 10, 2025 by Andrea Shane

At the corner of tradition and tenacity sits Kiki Lebanese Pineview Pizza—a family-run restaurant that has been part of the community for over three decades. Known for its diverse menu and hands-on care, this local favourite is the product of years of dedication, sacrifice, and quiet determination.

The story began with Pineview Pizza, which Fadi and Jouhaina purchased many years ago. Before becoming a business owner, Fadi worked in another pizza shop—doing deliveries, helping in the kitchen, and learning the ins and outs of the food industry. Though he didn’t start out with ownership in mind, he grew to love the fast-paced environment, the creativity in the kitchen, and the satisfaction of feeding others. When the opportunity finally came to purchase a shop of their own, he and Jouhaina took the leap.

They put in the work—managing the business themselves, preparing the food, taking orders, making deliveries, and doing whatever needed to be done. For years, they operated with few extra hands, building a loyal customer base through consistency, reliability, and an unwavering work ethic.

In 2007, they expanded their vision by merging Pineview Pizza with a nearby business called Kiki Lebanese, creating the combined restaurant now known as Kiki Lebanese Pineview Pizza. The move allowed them to bring in new flavours while staying rooted in the original pizza shop that had become part of the neighbourhood’s rhythm.

Today, the menu reflects both their journey and the multicultural character of Ottawa: classic pizzas, Italian dishes, burgers, hot and cold subs, Lebanese wraps and platters, Greek plates, salads, poutines, and more. It’s a blend of comfort food and cultural pride, all prepared with the same care that has defined the restaurant since day one.

While the business started as a practical decision, it has grown into a true passion—especially for Fadi, who once studied chemical engineering but found his purpose in the rhythm of the kitchen. Jouhaina, too, has remained central to the day-to-day operations, balancing everything from the front counter to behind-the-scenes prep with care and commitment.

Through every challenge, they’ve kept going. Still today, Kiki Lebanese Pineview Pizza remains proudly family-operated, a quiet cornerstone in the community where every dish is backed by years of perseverance and purpose.
