Canada Day 2025: A Day to Remember Across Our Community

Canada Day is always a special time of year—and this year’s celebrations were no exception. From early morning events to fireworks lighting up the sky, it was a full day of community, pride, and celebration across the city. Here’s a look at how we marked the occasion.

The day began at the Mayor’s Annual Canada Day Celebration for Seniors at the Ottawa Conference and Events Centre. It was a warm and meaningful start to the day, with great conversation, familiar faces, and an opportunity to honour the contributions of older residents in our community.

By midday, the Beacon Hill North Community Hall was full of energy. The family-friendly celebration featured bubbles, face painting, music, and a lot of smiling faces. It was the perfect way to bring families together and kick off the afternoon with joy and togetherness.

Over at Meadowbrook Park, the Pineview celebrations were in full swing. The park was buzzing with activity, from games and music to community booths and friendly conversations. The sense of belonging and local pride was clear in every corner of the park.

Later in the afternoon, the Eastview Legion brought the rhythm. With live music and dancing, the Legion was alive with celebration. Residents of all ages took to the dance floor, showing just how vibrant and connected this part of our community is.

The day ended on a high note with a spectacular fireworks display at Loyola Park. As the sun set and the sky lit up in red and white, families gathered on the grass to take it all in. It was a beautiful, shared moment—one that captured the heart of what Canada Day is all about.

Thank you to everyone who took part in making Canada Day 2025 such a memorable one. Whether you organized, volunteered, or simply showed up to celebrate, your energy and spirit made the day what it was. We’re lucky to live in a community where events like this are not only possible—they’re unforgettable.
