A Magical Summer Evening at Eastvale Park

A magical summer evening at Eastvale Park brought the community together for an unforgettable Moana 2 Movie Night under the stars.
August 6, 2025 by Andrea Shane

What an incredible night we had at Eastvale Park. The weather couldn’t have been better, and the turnout for our Moana 2 Movie Night was even better than we hoped. Families arrived early with lawn chairs and blankets, ready to enjoy an evening under the stars with their neighbours.

There’s something special about watching a movie in the park on a summer night. As the sun set, the park slowly filled with the buzz of kids playing, popcorn being shared, and everyone settling in for a fun night together. Once the movie started, you could feel the energy shift. Moana’s journey lit up the screen and brought smiles to faces all around.

A huge thank you goes out to Sage, Cory, and the amazing Youth In Policing Initiative (YIPI) crew for their help throughout the evening. They brought so much energy and did a fantastic job supporting the event. And of course, a big shoutout to the tech team as well. They handled all the sound, visuals, and setup behind the scenes and made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish.

Nights like this are what summer in the community is all about. Great people, good fun, and a little movie magic. We’re already looking forward to the next one!
