Spotlight on Local Business: Subway in Our Ward

Supporting local businesses like Karan’s Subway on Montreal Road means investing in the people and places that keep our community thriving.
August 27, 2025 by Andrea Shane

Supporting local businesses means more than just grabbing a quick meal — it’s about recognizing the people behind the counter who keep our community moving every day.

Here in our ward, one of those familiar stops is the Subway at 2200 Montreal Road, proudly owned and operated by Karan since 2009. For more than 15 years, Karan and his team have been serving up fresh sandwiches, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Over the years, this Subway has become a community hub — a spot for students, families, and workers alike. With new and improved menu options and something for everyone, it continues to be a reliable place to grab a bite and connect with familiar faces.

What makes this location special is the people behind the counter. Karan and his team take pride not only in the food they serve, but also in the role they play in our community — offering opportunities, creating jobs, and keeping the neighbourhood thriving.

So next time you’re nearby, stop in, say hello to Karan and his team, and enjoy the fresh options they’ve been proudly bringing to our ward since 2009. Supporting businesses like this helps keep our community strong.
