What an unforgettable day it was at the First-Ever Ice Warriors Charity Hockey Tournament! This event was a beautiful reminder of the power of community, as women from all across the region came together with one shared goal—to support victims of domestic violence, their children, and pets through Interval House.

I had the distinct pleasure of dropping the puck for Game 1 alongside my good friend, Stephanie Delorme, and it was truly a moment I’ll never forget. The excitement and energy in the air were palpable, and it was made even more special by the incredible group of community moms behind this tournament. Their hard work, passion, and dedication have turned this event into something so meaningful and impactful.

What struck me the most was the spirit of friendly competition. Women of all skill levels came together, playing with heart and passion—not just for the love of the game, but to make a real difference in the lives of those who need our help most. Whether on the ice, cheering from the stands, or volunteering their time, every person involved was contributing to something bigger than themselves.

From the first drop of the puck, it was clear this wasn’t just about hockey. It was about uniting as a community to raise awareness and support for those affected by domestic violence. The generosity shown through donations, t-shirt sales, and raffle tickets was truly heartwarming. It was clear that everyone involved had one goal in mind: to make a positive impact.

A huge thank you to Stephanie Delorme and everyone who made this first tournament such a success. The Ice Warriors Tournament is a shining example of how, when we come together, we can create lasting change and bring hope to those who need it most.

Thank you, Ice Warriors, for showing us all that kindness, unity, and community can make a world of difference. Together, we’ve started something truly special, and I can’t wait to see how this tournament continues to grow and make an impact for years to come.
