Prioritizing Safety: Intersection Reconfiguration Coming This Year

March 13, 2025

Ensuring the safety of our community is my top priority, and this year, we are taking important steps to make our streets safer for everyone.

One of the most problematic intersections in our community—Ogilvie and Eastvale—is set to undergo a reconfiguration designed to improve safety for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers. This intersection has been a frequent site of accidents and near-misses due to its confusing layout. With pedestrian safety at the forefront of this project, the upcoming changes will simplify the intersection’s alignment, making it clearer, safer, and easier to navigate for everyone.

The City is committed to moving forward with this important project, and it is just one of many safety enhancements planned for our community this year. From intersection upgrades to new traffic-calming measures, we are making significant progress toward safer streets for all.

More Safety Initiatives on the Horizon

This intersection reconfiguration is just one part of a broader initiative to tackle speeding, pedestrian right-of-way concerns, and overall road safety. Next week, we’ll be making a Public Service Announcement so stay tuned for more updates as we continue to prioritize real, meaningful improvements that put safety first.
