True North Taste: Canadian Fryer

Canadian Fryer in Beacon Hill-Cyrville offers a welcoming, no-frills experience with delicious, made-to-order comfort food, making it a trusted local spot for everyone from students to families.
April 8, 2025 by Andrea Shane

Set along Ogilvie Road, Canadian Fryer is a well-loved spot in Beacon Hill-Cyrville where good food and good service go hand in hand. It brings that familiar, comforting feeling of a classic roadside stop — the kind of place where the fryer’s always on, the portions are generous, and the service is fast and friendly.

Operated by Josée and Craig, Canadian Fryer has earned a strong reputation for delivering consistently satisfying meals made fresh to order. Whether you’re popping in for a quick lunch or bringing home dinner for the family, the experience is always the same — straightforward, welcoming, and full of flavour.

From poutines, hot dogs, chicken fingers, quesadillas, and sausages on a bun, the menu offers something for every craving. Orders are taken at the counter inside, with a view of the kitchen window where the action happens — a no-nonsense setup that keeps the focus where it belongs: on great food and great service.

Canadian Fryer is open six days a week and has become a trusted go-to for students, city workers, families, and anyone looking for a quick bite that doesn’t compromise on quality. There’s no flash or fuss — just honest food, made right, by people who care.

Hours of Operation:
Monday to Friday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Saturday: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM

If you’re in the area and looking for a spot that’s as down-to-earth as it is delicious, check them out. Canadian Fryer is everything you want in a local favourite — simple, reliable, and full of community spirit.
